SPIRIT ACADEMY CHEER&DANCE

Fondée en 2010, SPIRIT ACADEMY Cheer&Dance est une association loi 1901 à but non lucratif basée à Lyon 8ème, en FRANCE.

C'est avec l'envie de créer une nouvelle dynamique du cheerleading et de la danse en France, à l'image de ce qui se fait Outre-Atlantique, que SPIRIT ACADEMY Cheer&Dance est née pour développer sa propre compétition. Pratiquer le cheerleading comme dans son pays d'origine, ramener de nouvelles disciplines en danse en France, développer le Cheer Spirit au cœur de nos événements, sont autant de bonnes raisons qui nous ont nourri et qui vous ont donné l'envie de nous rejoindre.

Depuis 2013, l'association est reconnue Event Producer par l'IASF (International All Star Federation) pour son événement phare, le SACD Championship. À ce titre, elle délivre chaque année des Bids (qualifications) et des invitations pour des compétitions internationales.

Aujourd'hui, SPIRIT ACADEMY Cheer&Dance organise deux grands championnats annuels, ouverts à tous les clubs et athlètes, quels que soient leur affiliation et leur fédération.

De plus, chaque année, nos ambassadeurs mettent un point d'honneur à accompagner nos Bids Winners sur place lors des compétitions où ils se sont qualifiés, pour leur apporter tout le soutien nécessaire et faire rayonner le savoir-faire de notre association à l'international.

Founded in 2010, SPIRIT ACADEMY Cheer&Dance is a non-profit association under the French Law of 1901, based in Lyon’s 8th arrondissement, FRANCE.

Driven by a desire to create a new dynamic for cheerleading and dance in France, modelled on what is done across the Atlantic, SPIRIT ACADEMY Cheer&Dance was founded to develop its own competition. Practising cheerleading as it is in its country of origin, introducing new dance disciplines to France, and fostering the Cheer Spirit at the heart of our events are all the reasons that have driven us and inspired you to join us.

Since 2013, the association has been recognised as an Event Producer by the IASF (International All Star Federation) for its flagship event, the SACD Championship. In this capacity, it issues Bids (qualifications) and invitations for international competitions every year.

Today, SPIRIT ACADEMY Cheer&Dance organises two major annual championships, open to all clubs and athletes, regardless of their affiliation or federation.

Moreover, every year, our ambassadors make it a point of honour to accompany our Bid Winners to the international competitions for which they have qualified, to provide them with all the support they need and to showcase our association’s expertise on the international stage.

SACD Championship

Créé en 2011 sous le nom initial d'« Open de Lyon », puis renommé SACD Championship en 2021, cet événement grandit chaque année pour s'ancrer durablement dans le monde du cheerleading et de la danse.

Compétition annuelle, elle se déroule fin mai, à Lyon, au sein du Palais des Sports de Gerland (69007), où sont accueillis des athlètes nationaux et internationaux.

Le SACD Championship étant un évènement qualifiant pour les IASF Worlds, SPIRIT ACADEMY Cheer&Dance suit les directives des instances internationales. Le jury est composé de juges internationaux, professionnels de ces disciplines et certifiés IASF.

Organisé sur deux journées, l'une dédiée au Cheerleading et l'autre à la Danse, le SACD Championship accueille les disciplines suivantes :

Cheerleading
Danse pompons
Danse (Pom, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporain/lyrique et High-kick)
Performance Cheer - Duo (Pom, Jazz, Hip-Hop)

Toute le staff SPIRIT ACADEMY est heureux d'écrire chaque année un nouveau chapitre de l'histoire du SACD Championship à vos côtés, pour le plaisir des athlètes et le rayonnement de ces disciplines en France, en Europe et dans le monde.

First established in 2011 under the name ‘Open de Lyon’, and renamed the SACD Championship in 2021, this event continues to grow each year, firmly establishing itself within the world of cheerleading and dance.

This annual competition takes place at the end of May in Lyon, at the Palais des Sports de Gerland (69007), where national and international athletes are welcomed.

As the SACD Championship is a qualifying event for the IASF Worlds, SPIRIT ACADEMY Cheer&Dance follows the guidelines set by international governing bodies. The judging panel comprises international judges who are professionals in these disciplines and IASF-certified.

Spanning two days, one dedicated to Cheerleading and the other to Dance, the SACD Championship features the following disciplines:

Cheerleading
Pom-pom dance
Dance (Pom, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary/Lyrical and High-kick)
Dance - Duo (Pom, Jazz, Hip-Hop)

The entire SPIRIT ACADEMY staff is delighted to write a new chapter in the history of the SACD Championship alongside you every year, for the enjoyment of the athletes and to promote these disciplines in France, Europe and around the world.

SUPER SPIRIT

Lancé en 2025, Super Spirit est la nouvelle compétition annuelle organisée par SPIRIT ACADEMY Cheer&Dance.

Dans un objectif de lancement de saison, Super Spirit se déroule en hiver, en région lyonnaise. L'évènement accueille des athlètes nationaux et internationaux et est également accessibles aux équipes inclusives cheerleading.

Le jury est composé de juges internationaux et professionnels de ces disciplines.

Pour sa première édition, Super Spirit ouvre ses portes aux disciplines suivantes :

Le staff SPIRIT ACADEMY est enjoué de faire grandir ce nouvel évènement, avec et pour les athlètes.

Launched in 2025, Super Spirit is the new annual competition organised by SPIRIT ACADEMY Cheer&Dance.

Designed to kick off the season, Super Spirit takes place in winter in the Lyon region. The event welcomes national and international athletes and is also open to adaptiv abilities cheerleading teams.

The judging panel comprises international judges and professionals from these disciplines.
